Barlick eye a double

BARNOLDSWICK aim to avoid a backlash tomorrow and stay unbeaten at the top of the Houldsworth Solicitors Ribblesdale League.

Matt Nutter’s men face Oswaldtwistle Immanuel at Victory Park six days after the sides met in the semi-final of the Ramsbottom Cup.

Barlick won that match well and head into the last third of the season with a 17-point advantage over second-placed Read.

Kyle O’Connor’s men welcome Settle to Whalley Road for what should be a good game, while Baxenden are in the Ribble Valley as they tackle Clitheroe at Chatburn Road.

Whalley claimed a fine victory at Baxenden last weekend to end their poor run and look for back-to-back wins when they face Salesbury at Ribchester Road Paul Turner returns to the Cherry Tree side as Mark Hadfield leads his men to Great Harwood and Edenfield entertain Ribblesdale Wanderers and Padiham host Earby.
