OSWALDTWISTLE Immanuel continued their impressive Twenty20 form with their third straight win in the Ribblesdale League competition.

Daniel Metcalf inspired them to victory over Baxenden at Back Lane as his 4-14 saw the home side bowled out for just 71 and allowed Ossie to complete a 45-run victory.

Metcalf ripped through the middle and lower order with able support from Neil Weaver (2-16) as Baxenden struggled to find a foothold in their reply.

Opener Callum Waddington top scored with 11 as only three batsman managed to reach double figures.

This came after Ossie had posted 116-8 off their 20 overs with openers Daniel Sartori (23 off 12) and Matthew Roberts (21 off 17) setting up the platform.

The win leaves Ossie two points clear at the top of group three while Baxenden have now lost all three matches played so far in the competition.

Great Harwood also boast a 100 per cent record after they completed their second win of the competition with a victory over Brooksbottom, who have lost two from two.

Cherry Tree climbed to the top of group one with their second straight win as they got the better of Feniscowles.

Nas Iqbal finished with 5-6 off his four overs after an incredible of spell of bowling.

Only Stuart Heather (15) could offer any resistance for Feniscowles who were bowled out for 52 with three overs to spare.

In reply Ferisco Adams bludgeoned 31 off just 13 balls as Cherry Tree reached their target for the loss of just one wicket inside six overs.

They join Salesbury, who were without a game, on four points from two matches.

Elsewhere, Brinscall got their first win of the season at the third attempt as they condemned Euxton to a third straight defeat in a thrilling contest that saw more than 300 runs scored.

Euxton opener Francois Haasbroek hit an unbeaten 78 at the top of the order and Oliver Marsden added 45 from 49 balls as the visitors closed on an imposing 150-2 from 20 overs.

But LJ Van Rensberg's 58 from 36 balls, 46 of which came in boundaries, underpinned the reply as Brinscall chased down the target with just two balls to spare with Jonathan McDonald making an unbeaten 28.

There were no matches completed in group two.
