Darwen kick start their big weekend tomorrow to kick-start their assault on the Northern Premier League’s Lancashire Cup spots fully refreshed after a fortnight without a game.
John Cordingley’s men were inactive last weekend as they had their open date and the previous game against Carnforth was washed out.
But they head to Fleetwood before a trip to Prestwich on Sunday in the regional final of the ECB National Knockout.
For the trip to Broadwater, the Towers are at full strength with Cordingley joined in the team by his brothers Neil and Gareth, while Alex Davies is in a rich vein of form.
And further reward for Darwen’s young guns came when wicket-keeper Jordan Clarke and Niall Burke were selected for the Northern League U21 team for their prestigious MCC clash at Netherfield next Friday.
Fixtures
Kendal v Blackpool, Lancaster v Carnforth, Preston v Netherfield, St Annes v Leyland, Barrow v Morecambe, Fleetwood v Darwen.
