Darwen face a double header this weekend, facing fourth-placed Kendal tomorrow while on Bank Holiday Monday they entertain local rivals Chorley.
Darwen are able to put out their strongest team on two consecutive occasions with Gareth Cordingley and Jordan Clarke returning to the line up.
Skipper Andrew Cook said: "I believe the games for this weekend will give a real pointer as to just how far we can go in the league this year.
"Having Gareth back will be a big boost for the team though it was great to see the big steps players like Hampson and Burke are beginning to take.
"Chorley always give us a good game and I expect Monday to be no different."
Meanwhile, Chorley will hope to build on their double success last weekend, over Preston in the league and Widnes in the ECB Cockspur Cup, as they face Fleetwood and Darwen this weekend.
