Darwen face two tough home fixtures this weekend.

On Saturday, they will entertain Netherfield in the Northern League with just one change to the team that lost to St Anne's last weekend, Gary Jackson replacing his son Nathan in the team.

Mark Emery is still unavailable due to work commitments.

On Sunday, they host Colwyn Bay in the first round of the Lancashire Cup, starting at 2pm.

Nathan Jackson and Graham Ainslie join the team on Sunday in place of Chris Clarke and Gareth Cordingley.

Captain Andrew Cook was delighted with the debuts of Yakub Bhamji and Michael Clarkson last week, and he expects the team to build on the positives from that defeat.

He said: "Michael and Yakub really impressed and I'm confident that they will go on to be a vital part of the team as the season unfolds. We've brought Gary back in to give us a little more experience in the batting."
