Chorley crashed out of the FA Trophy after an untidy performance which had distinct echoes of last week’s FA Cup exit. The scoreline was exactly the same and playmaker Tom Ince recklessly picked up a second red card. And it was also an afternoon to forget for keeper Jack Cudworth who was at fault for all three Whitby goals.
