OSWALDTWISTLE Immanuel aim to make their dream come true tomorrow as they head to Barnoldswick with one eye on a dream Ramsbottom Cup final date.
Immanuel’s New Lane is the venue for this year’s Ribblesdale League show-piece and skipper Nick Payne would love to be able to lead his team into the big game on home territory.
“It would be a wonderful achievement to play in the final on our own ground,” said Payne.
“We have performed well in the cup this year and hopefully that can continue.
“It would be terrific to get through and with the final being at New Lane it would be really special to get there.”
Professional Chris Cook-Martin is in good nick and Jon Baldwin is impressing for Immanuel after his move from Cherry Tree.
Barlick have worries over the fitness of skipper Matt Nutter, who has been hostpitalised this week with cellulitis on his arm.
That would be a blow for the leaders ahead of the Victory Park clash as Nutter combines his main batting role with that of a bowler in cup matches with a limit of 10 overs per man.
The other tie takes place at Marshfield and is a repeat of the 2010 final as Settle lock horns with Baxenden.
John Seedle’s men have had a terrific start to the season with fellow former Rishton man Tiarnan Hamill in fine form.
But Andy Caunce’s Baxenden are desperate to bounce back from last weekend’s loss to Read.
n There is also Twenty20 action at The Arbories tomorrow as Padiham play an all-stars team including Burnley FC ace Kieran Tripper in their annual Ladies Day.
