Halstead set to move from Nelson to Ramsbottom

Lancashire League outfit Ramsbottom are hoping to boost their bowling attack with the capture of seamer Sam Halstead from league rivals Nelson.

The signing, which has to be ratified by the league management committee, would see Halstead re-united with his best friend and former Seedhill team-mate Andy Hakin, who made the switch from Nelson to Acre Bottom ahead of the 2010 season.

Ramsbottom won the Worsley Cup and the Twenty20 tournament last season.

They finished fourth in the league table.
