Rishton have solved their professional problems with the signature of Aussie Mark Cosgrove on a short-term contract.
Cosgrove moves to Blackburn Road as a replacement for his fellow countryman Aaron Heal, who was forced to return home after suffering a knee injury.
The 25-year-old, who was at Glamorgan earlier in the season, will play for John Seedle’s men from July 19 until the end of August.
Cosgrove did turn out for Rishton on Saturday and took three wickets in the defeat at Colne.
