GRAHAM Sneddon was in record-breaking form as Accrington racked up the runs at Rishton.

The Thorneyholme Road opener amassed 152 in just 89 balls to record the highest score by an amateur in the Lancashire League this season.

It was a stunning knock by Sneddon - which included 18 fours and eight sixes - was the highest by an Accrington amateur for well over a century.

The left hander and professional Ockert Erasmus but their hosts to the sword as the pair put on 190 runs in a match-winning third wicket stand.

After Sneddon was eventually dismissed, bowled by Bradley Boddie, Erasmus continued to torment the Rishton bowling attack.

The South African reached his century in 113 balls eventually scoring a career best 111 before he was caught by Boddie off Kelly Smuts.

Accrington’s 316-5 toal was their third ever highest score.

Rishton were set a reduced target of 226 from 31 overs due to the rain and Smuts scored an unbeaten 51 as they closed on 101-5.

Leaders Burnley stay ahead of Ramsbottom following an eight wicket win at Rawtenstall thanks to a fine all-round effort from professional Chris Holt.

The Burnley-born paid man took 4-48 as the hosts posted 192-8 with Chris Cook-Martin top scoring 76 while Sam Kershaw scored 51 in a 108 second wicket partnership.

In reply, Holt hit 97 - including 15 fours and a six - with Vishal Tripathi (20), David Brown (43 not out) and Jon Clare (19 not out) all contributing as Burnley got home with 13.2 overs to spare.

Second-placed Ramsbottom enjoyed a 123 run win over Church at Acre Bottom. Paid man Daryn Smit hit ten fours and a six in making an unbeaten 102 and he then took 4-6 as Church were out for 74.

Haslingden beat Colne at The Horsfield. Openers Jo Sipocz 88) and Graham Knowles (56) put on 136 as Haslingden were dismissed for 207.

In reply, Colne were bowled out for 177, Joel Duerden top scoring with 25 as Haslingden professional Burton de Wett took 5-53.

Lewis Wright scored an unbeaten 58 as Enfield beat East Lancs by seven wickets at Dill Hall Lane.

Batting first, East Lancs were dismissed for 130 with professional JP de Villiers made 29, Mo Bhada 26 the top run makers.

Enfield reached their target for the loss of just three wickets.

Lowerhouse enjoyed a 140 run win over Bacup at the Neville Gee Recruitment Ground. Jonny Whitehead top scored with 56, including seven fours on Lowerhouse’s 248-9.

Matt Thompson (29) top scored as Bacup were dismissed for 108.

And Bilawal Bhatti took 6-33 as Todmorden dismissed Nelson for 123 at Centre Vale. In replay, Simon Newbitt hit an unbeaten 52 as Todmorden won with almost 23 overs to spare.
