LOWERHOUSE bid for progress into the last four of the Moorhouse’s Twenty20 tonight – but must conquer a T20 World Cup winner in order to qualify.
Charlie Cottam’s men make the trip to Seedhill for their final Group C clash and face a Nelson side who were fancied, especially as their pro Shahzaib Hasan won the World T20 with Pakistan in 2009.
But with the weather ruling recently, Nelson lost their last game on a bowl out and cannot make the knockout.
Lowerhouse can qualify – but they need to win and dramatically improve their run rate in order to pip Todmorden.
Burnley play Colne in the group’s other game, while Haslingden host Ramsbottom in the Group B decider.
If Ramsbottom win they will go through – and Haslingden would be favourites to follow them as best runners-up thanks to their run rate.
Bacup play Edenfield at Lanehead and fans can savour the sounds of Keith Roscoe’s band The Riflemen of War afterwards, while Group A sees a straight shoot-out for qualification between Church and Enfield.
Both sides have win all three games to date, while Rishton look for a first win when they host Accrington.
In the Ribblesdale League T20 Cherry Tree host Oswaldtwistle Immanuel, Barnoldswick host Ribblesdale Wanderers, Earby play Read, Great Harwood are at home to Baxenden, Clitheroe host Settle and Padiham entertain Whalley.
