ACCRINGTON Cricket Club will be raising money to help out Foster’s Lancashire League rivals Colne when they play the seasonal curtain-raiser against Burnley later this month.

Cash-strapped Colne have launched an appeal to raise £100,000 to secure their future and league champions Accrington have decided to have a fund-raising push at the Ron Singleton Colne Trophy game on Saturday, April 19.

There will be collection buckets and the proceeds from the match day raffle will also be donated, as well as proceeds from a football card the club will be doing during that evening’s ‘Meet The Pro’ night with South African Ockert Erasmus.
