A ROSES battle takes place this afternoon on Colne’s Horsfield as the over 60s teams of Lancashire and Yorkshire go head-to-head.
The trans-Pennine rivals meet in the second game of this season’s Spitfire O60s Championship Northern Section with the Red Rose veterans eager to recover from their loss to Northumberland at Norton CC last month.
The newcomers to the competition when they were beaten by eight wickets despite posting 220-9 from 45 overs.
