LANCASHIRE League Twenty20 Cup holders Clitheroe made it two wins out of two following a 34-run win over Rishton with professional Fawad Alam top scoring with 47 from 25 balls.

Charlie Dewhurst (42), Thomas Lord (35) and Harry Lang (23) all played their part in Clitheroe’s 176-7 total.

Sam Halstead (3-30) was the pick of the bowlers to help restrict Rishton to 142-9 in the JWL Founders Table

Unbeaten Burnley are top Burnley after beating Colne at The MyProtein Turf Moor.

Paid man Asif Zakir scored 64 in Burnley’s 176-7 with Joey Marshall (38) and David Brown (35) in form.

Jhangir Liaqat took 3-27 against his former club then top scored with an unbeaten 47 in Colne’s 129-5 as they beaten by 47 runs.

Accrington sealed a seven wicket win at East Lancashire.

Joe Bolton hit 14 fours in an unbeaten 84 for the home side in East Lancs 145-5 total. But thank to professonal Janith Liyanage (46) and a superb 38 from 22 balls from Keiren Grimshaw saw Accrington win with five balls to spare.

Darwen remain unbeaten in the JWL Bitter Group after beating Great Harwood by 64 runs - Chris Wade (53no), Reece Davies (53) and professional Calvin Savage (45) the main contributors.

Great Harwood finished on 134-8 with Dave Bowden (4-19) the pick of the bowlers.

Nelson collapsed from 69-1 to 117 all out as they lost by seven wickets at Lowerhouse.

And Church beat Enfield by six wickets at West End.

In the JWL Manchester Craft Group, there were wins for Crompton, Rochdale and Todmorden were the winners over Walsden, Littleborough and Milnrow.

In the JWL MPA Group, Rawtenstall enjoyed a three run win at Haslingden, professional Keegan Petersen top scoring with 48.

Ramsbottom beat Bacup and Middleton defeated Norden.
