OCKERT Erasmus scored an unbeaten 88 as Lowerhouse defeated Lancashire League champions Clitheroe at Chatburn Road.

The South African all-rounder hit 10 fours and three sixes as House sealed a 36-run victory.

Batting first, the Burnley side lost openers Ben Heap (19) and Jon Finch (six) but Erasmus and Francois Haasbroek (46) steadied the innings as Lowerhouse closed on 188-6.

In reply, Clitheroe were bowled out for 149 - Charlie Dewhurst (31) and professional Fawad Alam (36) - the main run makers as Paddy Martin (3-36) and Finch (3-32) were the pick of the bowlers.

Nelson wasted little time in wrapping up victory over Colne, dismissing their local rivals for just 36 and taking less than six overs to reach their target.

Caleb Grant (5-16) and Neil Thompson (4-20) ripped through the Colne innings and Lewis Bradley (20no) and David Crotty (15no) sealed a 10-wicket victory.

Darwen scored 299-9 with Bowden top scoring with an unbeaten 53 before taking 6-37 as Great Harwood were bowled out for 83.

Ramsbottom remain in third place after a 121 win over Enfield. Batting first, Ramsbottom scored 215-8 with skipper Tom Parton top scoring with 71 while professional Sen Muthusamy weighed in with 52 from 58 balls.

In reply, Muthusamy (4-25) and Jon Fielding (3-27) did the damage with the ball as Enfield were dismissed for 94.

Rishton picked up their win of the season thanks to the all-round efforts of professional Mansoor Amjad at East Lancashire.

Amjad claimed 4-50 as East Lancashire were bowled out for 158 then hit an unbeaten 79 to seal a nine wicket victory.

Church enjoyed a surprise four wicket win at Burnley - bowling the home side out for 129 with Josh Dentith and Jack Gaskill both taking 3-37. Church captain Levi Wolfenden hit 45 to help seal victory.

Captain Andrew Sutcliffe (63no) led Todmorden to victory over Haslingden.

Crompton sealed a seven-wicket win over Rawtenstall and Rochdale fought back from 8-3 to score 185 then bowled Accrington out for 88.

Middleton beat Littleborough by four wickets and Norden enjoyed a 97 run victory against Milnrow.
