READ have a break from Ramsbottom Cup action tomorrow, safe in the knowledge they have already progressed through the group stages.
Andrew Rushton’s side top Group 2 going into this weekend’s fixtures. They could be toppled if Baxenden beat winless Feniscowles at Back Lane, but they cannot finish lower than second place.
Baxenden have five points following two wins and one abandonment. while Feniscowles have yet to taste a cup victory this year.
In the other group game, Barnoldswick are at home to Earby.
In Group 1 Brinscall will be aiming to continue the momentum of three wins on the spin to earn derby bragging rights. But they face a tough task against an Euxton side who top the group table.
Third placed Salesbury host Cherry Tree, who are so far winless in the competition, at Ribchester Road.
Ribblesdale League leaders Settle’s blistering start to the season takes a break as they are without a game. Unbeaten after five league games in their defence of the league title, they sit second in the group having won three and lost one to complete their fixtures.
Meanwhile in Group 3, Oswaldtwistle Immanuel are hoping to come out of an inconsistent spell and bounce back from defeat last time out when they play host to Ribblesdale Wanderers.
Padiham will look to use the cup to kick-start their season when they face Stacksteads at the Arbories.
