Veteran batsman David Pearson found some early season form - but he couldn’t prevent East Lancashire from slipping to defeat in their opening pre-season game on Saturday.
The Lancashire League outfit, who celebrate their 150th anniversary this year, lost by 39 runs at Northern League Morecambe.
Pearson retired on 50 at Woodhill Lane but East Lancs fell short of Morecambe’s 202-5.
