BURNLEY Football Club celebrates its 125th anniversary on Friday.

Ian Wright is the special guest at the celebration dinner at Turf Moor, the home of the Clarets, that evening.

Was the former Arsenal and England ace signing in Valentine's Day, February 2000, and guiding Burnley to promotion that season, a highlight in your time as a Burnley supporter?

Perhaps it was 'the Orient game' that reached a 20-year milestone last week?

Or was it the European adventures of the 1960s?

Any fan who has followed the club at any stage in their history must have a tale to tell.

Whatever your recollections are - good, bad, amusing or just personal to you - we'd love to hear from you then can share your memories in our sports pages as we the Clarets' milestone.

Just post your memories below - including your name and how long you've been a supporter.

My favourite moment was marvelling at that plane flying over saying 'Burnley down 4 ever ha ha ha'. Well, that and keeping Rovers down to a mere 5 when we got humiliated at Ewood.

As a 9 year old kid - seeing Ray Pointer put us 2 up in the first 20 mins at White Hart Lane in 1961. Sadly the late great John White and Cliff Jones then helped Spurs take control with 4 real bodyblows - great game though. Then in the mid -60's watching Andy Lochead and Ralph Coates terrorising the Chelsea defence as we smashed 3 in the onion bag at Stamford Bridge. Oh....and Willie Irvine running Brentford ragged in an FA Cup replay at Griffin Park - with 30,000 or more in the ground. Over 40 yrs ago but still vivid memories today. Loads of other great memories about a fantastic football club - best wishes for the 125th celebrations.

Playing Liverpool in the Milk (League) Cup semi-final in 1983. We were already 1-0 up as Steve Taylor side stepped Bruce Grobelaar & rolled the ball towards an empty net. For a split second I imagined us overturning the 3-0 deficit from the first leg & the gates of Wembley opening. I think it was Hansen who appeared out of nowhere to get back & clear the ball off the line & the Wembley gates slammed shut again. The score remained at 1-0 & a whole season of promise seemed to evaporate at once as we crashed out of the FA Cup in the quarter finals at Hillsborough & were relegated. John Bond came in, cleared the decks & the rest is history.

What about the time you lot nearly went out of the league, that would have been a great day for football.
Mind you for many years now there has been nothing to shout about at Burnley, long gone are the days of good players playing there.???

Being given complimentary tickets by Mick Conroy who was then at Blackpool
Andy Payton scored a belter of a free kick and as we celebrated we discovered we were in the Blackpool end!!!!!!!!!

My favourite moment was the 3-0 demolition of Fulham in the FA Cup in February 2003. Gareth Taylor opened the scoring, Ian Moore got a rare second and Drissa Diallo sealed the win with a majestic second-half header. The Frenchman leapt like a salmon - like a tin of salmon - to nod in his first for the club.
Then he left for Ipswich because we were skint and the season degenerated into the usual mid-table malaise. Ho hum.
