Burnley Reserves 0 Morecambe Reserves 1

MICHAEL Duff could be in line for a first team return on Saturday, after being withdrawn just after the hour mark in a home defeat to Pontin's League leaders Morecambe tonight.

Despite falling to a late Aaron Taylor goal, having played against 10 men for the final half-hour, defensive duo Duff and Clarke Carlisle came through unscathed to hand manager Owen Coyle a boost ahead of the trip to Southampton.

Burnley started brightly, with Rob Turner creating the two best chances.

The Shrimps found themselves a man down just before the hour, when Simon Grand was sent off for a reckless two-footed lunge on young Burnley right back Dean Stott.

But the Clarets struggled to utilise their one-man advantage, and only an excellent save from Kiraly prevented Lloyd from heading Morecambe in front.

But Taylor did find the net five minutes from time, when Taylor got on the end of a long punt downfield and clipped the ball over the advancing Kiraly.

BURNLEY: Gabor Kiraly; Dean Stott, Michael Duff (Nik Kudiersky 61), Clarke Carlisle (Chris Lynch 46), Tom Bradley; Adam Kay, Mark Randall (James Craggs 66), Garreth O'Connor, John Spicer; Alex MacDonald, Rob Turner.

Subs not used: Jonathan Sergeant, Chris Anderson.

MORECAMBE ARE CHAMPIONS AND BURNLEY ARE ALSO-RANS - SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT UNDER THE "NEW BILL SHANKLY". WHY WASN'T HE PLAYING?. SITTING BY THE PHONE WAITING FOR A CALL FROM STRACHAN ABOUT THE RIORDAN DEAL?

It's a poor do when we lose to likes of Morecambe - sounds like youth policy is no better despite all the hot air from the likes of Overson - shocking!

What has me living in Norway anything to do with being reasonable and understanding how things work in the big picture? A few weeks ago we beat Morecambe 7-1. That's the sort of league it is. It's just a chance for injured players to get some match fitness and youth team players to compete in a tougher setting.
I'm just glad BFC isn't run by people like you. We'd have folded ages ago. What you're really saying is:
WHY DOESN'T KILBY & FLOOD STOP LYING AND SIGN RONALDO & ROONEY. No wonder the Rovers fans are laughing at us.

I said on here three weeks ago you were a clown and I haven't seen anything since to make me change my mind. How many times do we have to hear how much you spend watching BFC. Do you think the rest of us get to games for nothing and have free admission. For god's sake man say somthing constructive in your posts or don't bother.
