BURNLEY are set to play three pre-season friendlies in Scotland in July.
The first will be at Queen of the South on July 19, while fixtures against manager Owen Coyle's former club St Johnstone, and Partick Thistle are lined up for the following Monday and Wednesday.

I totally agree that Steve Davis was not offered the Burnley manager role. I think the Clarets faithful would not be like this, snide comments.
Look at the bigger picture, Burnley are a small fish in a big sea. We are the 19th best supported club (but we have the best fans though) in the Championship. 11,000 gates compared to the bigger clubs who get 20,000+.
We are doing well to survive in the Championship but I want us to get in the Premier League but we will get there eventually :).
We have a tight/small budget so if Coyle managed to get us in the Premier League it will be a minor miracle, unless the board give him funds to spend.
UP THE CLARETS!

Oh what a disappointment. Read the headline 'Clarets off to Scotland' and thought they were doing a Wimbledon and re-locating. Seems we have to put up with another year of town centre drunks and traffic chaos all so the terminally bored can watch the terminally untalented every other Saturday afternoon.

I'm surprised Burnley never offered Davis the managers job. If anyone knows how Burnley FC ticks, its Davis![/quote] My thoughts exactly!
Would know the club inside out what the fans expect!
Thrilling fixtures - what about that eh? I bet the average Clarets fan can't wit for July!

How exciting, [bold]Scottish[/bold] Manager, [bold]Scottish[/bold] captain and now [bold]Scottish[/bold] friendlies, Burnley must be connected to the [bold]Labour party[/bold] . All 3 would struggle in League 2, should give the next group of unknown has-beens and [bold]Scottish[/bold] imports burnley get on free transfers a good test.
Time Flood stopped the rot and stopped making Burnley a laughing stock both sides of the border.
