BURNLEY boss Owen Coyle has yet to decide whether or not he will appeal against Clarke Carlisle's sending off deep into stoppage time at Preston North End for lunging at Sean St Ledger.
"I think Clarke probably did lunge for the ball but I don't think there was any malace in that, it was just ill-timed," Coyle said.
"Being biased, as we always are, I thought a yellow would have sufficed.

"He was going to blow his whistle five seconds later for the end of the match anyway, so that was disappointing, and a blow to us because Stan Varga's been out injured and suddenly we've got problems in the centre half department next week.
"I would need to see it again but I thought at the time it was harsh.
"Uriah (Rennie) felt it was a red and he was certainly a lot closer to it than I was.
"But we'll certainly look at it and see where we go from there."
A ban would rule Carlisle out for the next three games.
