Anderson, who is trained by Kevin Maree at Stirk House, floored his opponent with a body shot in the six-round fight, which he won by 60 points to 53.

Purse bids for Anderson’s on-off British super middleweight title fight with George Groves are now scheduled to submitted by July 11.

Since then, the 29-year-old has impressed under the guidance of Maree and has won all five fights, the latest the impressive points win over Pojonisevs.

An Anderson and Groves rematch would be keenly anticipated especially as the Scotsman – who was not in top fighting condition in their first fight – troubled he current British champion in the early exchanges before being stopped in the sixth round at the MEN Arena. Anderson won a Commonwealth Games gold medal in Melbourne in 2006.
