Colne’s star boxer Shayne ‘The Pain’ Singleton is all set for the biggest fight of his career as he faces former footballer Curtis Woodhouse for the English light-welterweight title.

The 23-year-old stylist, trained by Karl Ince, has an unblemished record with 13 wins to date.

But the challenge of Woodhouse, who played for Sheffield United, is the sternest test of International Masters Champion Singleton’s career.

Since hanging up his boots at the age of 26, Woodhouse has 17 wins and four losses from his 21 fights and lifted the English belt in September when he beat Dave Ryan.

The title fight is scheduled for February 22 and will take place at the Magna Centre in Rotherham.
