FANS' favourite Alan Shearer has ruled himself out of the running for the Blackburn Rovers manager's job - so who do you now want to replace Mark Hughes?

Sam Allardyce and Paul Ince are expected to be the bookmakers' favourites when they redraw the book today.

Yesterday, Allardyce had been backed into 6/4 favourite and is now expected to be an odds-on chance, just ahead of the MK Dons boss.

Ince, meanwhile, insists he has not been contacted by anyone at Rovers as yet.

He said: "I have just come back from holiday in Portugal, and I'm going to sit down with my chairman and take it from there.

"But I've not spoken to Blackburn.

"It's flattering to be linked with any job, especially in the Premier League, so it goes to show that I have done okay in my management career.

"But there's nothing concrete (to the Blackburn link).

"I'm not sure what the situation is and in the next two or three days I'll probably have a better idea of what's going on."

And the former England captain added: "I believe in time I will get to the Premier League, it's just a case of when I want to take that leap."

Several other names, including the former Chelsea coach Henk Ten Cate, are still thought to be in the frame as well, and an appointment is now unlikely before next week.
