ROQUE Santa Cruz is hopeful he WILL be fit to face Reading tomorrow - despite getting crocked by team-mate Aaron Mokoena whilst away on inter-national duty earlier this week.

Rovers' leading scorer lasted just 21 minutes of Paraguay's friendly with South Africa before he picked up an ankle injury as a result of a Mokoena tackle.

However, the 26-year-old, who arrived back in England yesterday afternoon, is still optimistic about his chances of being ready for the trip to the Madejski.

"Roque has been in touch with us and said it's not too serious.

"He will be checked by our medical staff, but we are hopeful he will be fit to play," said chairman John Williams last night.

Roque to play tomorrow. He's awesome and he always tries hard. If he doesnt play Roberts will be lonely.
LET'S HOPE HE'S BEEN GIVEN THE ALL CLEAR!!

Good point, but it does seem to happen on occasions especially when a win is important.

I know there are no easy games but this one is going to be really tough!

I would rather play one of the top 4 every week as it is easier to raise your game against the better sides.

I HAVE ALWAYS HAD FAITH!

with dunny gamst and bents all playing better, roberts very strong up front, benni with a point to prove, santa fit, vogel in the mix, and our defence probably better off without Samba at the minute, we're in great shape!!

as stated on previous posts the santa JR partnership has been looking good in the last few weeks so thats the preffered option.
lets hope he's fit but if i was a betting man my money would be on him not playing.

It wouldn't be the end of the world if Roque's rested or put on the bench tomorrow - to be fair JR has looked every bit as good when he's come in (very well taken goal last week, absolutely outstanding against Fulham earlier in the season), so it's about time Sparky did the right thing and backed up the sentiments he's shared with the press this week by giving Jason a run..
Um, Roberts has started the last two games anyway...
