Padiham guitarist strums up support for charity run

PADIHAM guitar player is getting fit in preparation for the Jane Tomlinson 10k Race in Blackburn on July 11.

The 35-year-old support worker for Scope is planning to raise funds for the Duchenne Family Support Group.

He said: “I work with a couple of clients that have muscular dystrophy and the support group is close to my heart as they do a lot of great work and they need more funds.”

The singer and songwriter, who plays for an indie rock band called Fusion, is planning to raise £500 for the group, which was started in 1987 by parents of children diagnosed as having Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
