Harriers scoop the bronze in Banbury

Clayton-le-Moors Harriers have won a team bronze medal at the British Masters Cross Country Championships at Banbury.

Masters is the modern term for veterans, and the Clayton club was competing in the Men's Age 40-49 class.

England Veteran International Mark Aspinall was their ace card finishing in sixth place, but he was well backed by Ian Greenwood, Garry Wilkinson and Mark Brown.

London club Herne Hill were the race winners over the four laps of two kilometres with Sunderland second. Clayton finished clear of several of the nation's top clubs including Bingley, Rotherham, Tipton and Bristol.
