NICOLA Breaks received the President's Award when Hyndburn Athletic Club held its annual presentation evening at Enfield Cricket Club.
The talented all-rounder won the Senior Women's County Championship at the Lancashire Combined Events Champion-ships on her debut in the event last season.
Nicola was also a member of the Hyndburn women's team that won the Mid Lancs Track and Field League Division Two by a huge margin. Their promotion to the top flight was marked with them being awarded the team trophy.
Elsewhere, Nick Rawcliffe tasted success at the British Masters Track and Field Championships. In the Age 35-39 class he took gold in the 400m hurdles and silver in the 110m hurdles.
The Hyndburn Club is enjoying a period of growth and can boast excellent facilities with a new track laid in 2004.
