DARWEN long distance ace Ben Fish has shown his quality in June with two superb victories – including one on the beach!
The 30-year-old Blackburn Harrier powered to his sixth successive Freckleton Half Marathon triumph on Sunday, and also clocked his best time on the roads of Preston with a quick time of 67 minutes and 37 seconds, some four and a half minutes quicker than second placed John Mason.
He is now level with Ken Moss in winning the event six times.
Fish’s success followed his June 9 victory at the Abersoch 10k, where he produced his quickest 10k time in two years with 30:01, as the race finished on the beach in north west Wales.
