Hitchon takes top spot

Burnley hammer thrower Sophie Hitchon threw 68.52m as she finished first in the 18th Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine, near Los Angeles.

The 20-year-old is set return to Britain today after spending more than a month training and competing in California.
