Fish batters field in Chernobyl 10k romp

BLACKBURN Harriers’ England international Ben Fish got his 2012 campaign off to a flying start by demolishing the 500-plus field at Sunday’s Chernobyl 10k.

The 29-year-old long-distance coasted to victory on the streets of Preston, clocking a time of 31 minutes and 12 seconds, winning by a margin of over two and a half minutes.

Rossendale Harriers’ Alan Lundberg-Bury was the prize winner in the event’s over 45 category, coming 24th overall.
