THE Celebrate Blackburn Town Centre Races will return for a second year on Sunday, July 12, after a successful debut event in 2008.

The first three races on the card are for junior athletes, which will incorporate a Blackburn Town Schools team competition.

The U12s and U14s will run a mile at 10.30am and 10.50am respectively, while the U16 race at 11.10am will be two miles long (ages at September 1, 2009).

The feature race for seniors is at noon and is five kilometres long.

It also incorporates the North of England 5K Championships, but if you want to run in the Championship your entry must be in by this Sunday.

A two-mile fun run rounds off the day at 1pm.

The events are organised jointly between Blackburn with Darwen BC and Blackburn Harriers and you can download an entry form at John Schofield’s site.
