Stanley won their first home league game of 2008 after a superb display against Brentford tonight.

It was a night of firsts as Leam Richardson opened his Stanley account with the only goal of the game.

Andy Mangan and Paul Mullin both went close with shots in the first half that were saved well by keeper Ben Hamer.

But Hamer could do nothing with Richardson's cross on 31 minutes, which moved in the swirling wind and flew in off the far post.

In the second half, Stanley were always in control.

They had a great chance to tie up the points 10 minutes from time when Hamer saved from Ian Craney's shot, but Mullin fired the rebound over the bar.

Thankfully for Stanley, it didn't matter.

Good on you Iain hope you can persaude some of your fellow rovers fans too come along. Eric what about reduced entrance prices for Rovers and Burnley Season ticket holders? get more butts on seats may spend a bit and may eventually convert I know this may cheese some people off but as a season ticket holder I would not complain we need all the incetives we can to build the fan base as we do not have the TV money to compensate.

I went to my 1st Accy Stanley game last night and I can honestly say that I really enjoyed it. I am a Rovers season ticket holder and reguarly go to away games, 3 of us (all rovers season ticket holders) travelled from Darwen to see the game and I thought that Stanley were excellent going forward. The defence looked very shakey at times and I thought they made a few silly little mistakes that were going to cost Stanley, but in the end they were solid enough and the better team one. I will certainatley be attending again.

A very good, much improved performance from the team. They played with a passion, kept their shape & some good individual performances. Kenny did give the defence confidence, I thought Mangan did well, especially in the first half, and Roberts too was very good. First time in ages, I felt proud to be there - it was great to see all of the smiling faces at the final whistle. Well done to all concerned!

Good performance as well as the result, we needed a bit of luck although I'm sure it was pin point accuracy from Liam LOL!! Kenny gives the defence confidence they know when he's coming for the ball. Well done Coley bringing Mark Roberts back. Lets hope were on a roll to safety

Great result and a great display. Goal was a bit flukey but the whole team deserves credit for a gritty performance. At last they played with some purpose and passion. Glad I was there
