ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman has released 12 players.

The Reds manager told 11 players that their contracts would not be renewed, while Andy Todd has also left following after loan from Rotherham United.

Graham Branch, David Brown, Martin Fearon, Jay Harris, Mark King, David Mannix, Lee McEvilly, Leighton McGivern, Mark Roberts, Sean Webb and Shaun Whalley have all been told to look for new clubs for next season.

Coleman said: "It is a hard time of the year for managers having to let players go. However, we haven't performed as well as we would have liked this season and I have to make sure that we are a better side next season.

"All the lads that are leaving us have been great to work with, they have given their all for Accrington Stanley."

Sixteen players remain under contract, or have been offered new deals, including the five youth team players offered first-year professional contracts this season.

Some people have brought this club into disripute. I agree it is probably the scouse elements. Good time to get rid of them all now

A lack of 'proof', Chris, is what people behind this scam are banking on isnt it.

And theres plenty of footballers from outside of Huyton who could make Stanleys squad much stronger but they dont get a look in.

And I didnt mention Accrington born footballers did Chris, just a disdain for the practise of limiting your search for players to a seaside port. We live on a big old planet Chris, and all we do is look for rejects from Liverpools Sunday Pub teams.

A local lad would be good and gather interest, but im not suggesting we pick a team from Accrington. That, like you Chris, would be stupid.

If you want to wait for proof of crimes before you realise someone is guilty then fine. The 'proof' IS there. Its just at present it wouldnt stand up in court and they all know that. Bar one of them going 'its a fair cop guv' nothing will come of it.

But you keep singing Colemans name if you want Christine... if it makes you happy.

Rob,I suggest if you have proof that you take it to the authorities,or has the on going investigation been concluded? As for Liverpool based players, please name me some from Accrington who are playing football at a higher level than League 2!!

Stanley manager John Coleman added: "There's no proof."

well thats an admission of guilt if ever there was one.

Bye bye coleman. i wont enter that ground while he's still in charge signing and picking a 2nd rate bunch of underperforming fellow Liverpudlians who are happy to rip of the league, fans and FOOTBALL to line there own pockets. And i know MANY people who feel the same. Why would Accringtonians want to watch what is practically a exlusive Liverpool Boys Club. Its smacked of a 'Jobs for the scousers' type situation fo years now.

And are we really expected to believe that its mere coincidence that £250 000 was placed on Stanley to lose in Bookies in and around Liverpool but the rest of the nations gamblers didnt see fit to pick this game as a banker 'home win'? How stupid do you think we are?

'Proof' or no 'proof' fatty, we can all see whats gone on.

Hang your head in shame all who were involved. the money you have won is tainted with a disdain for the fans, public and sport.

i hope you never watch sport again without thinking about what you have done.

You have sold any right to further sporting enjoyment to my mind.

I hope it was worth it.

Well done JC, true to your word. Now if we can just offload Miles & Carden, there'll be plenty of space to get some quality in (easier said than done, I know, but so far so good)
