Craney injury blow for Accrington Stanley

ACCRINGTON Stanley are sweating on the fitness of midfielder Ian Craney ahead of tomorrow's match against Bury at the Fraser Eagle Stadium.

The 26-year-old Scouser damaged his knee in training yesterday morning and admitted he was a doubt for the end of season encounter.

He said: "I went over on my knee in training. Someone passed me the ball and it jarred.

"Hopefully the swelling will come down because I'm desperate to play."

One player who is definitely out of the match is defender Leam Richardson, who had a hernia operation this week.

A club spokesman said: "The decision was taken to allow the op to go ahead before the end of the season."
