CHORLEY boss Garry Flitcroft has urged Magpies’ fans to get to Victory Park in their droves as his side prepare for a run of crucial home fixtures.

Flitcroft’s side have three of their next four Conference North fixtures at home, all against teams above them in the league.

After their 3-1 win at Leamington on Tuesday the Magpies are now out of the play-off positions on goal difference only.

On Saturday they host fourth placed Tamworth, before welcoming third placed Guiseley on Tuesday and league leaders Barrow on Easter Monday, with a trip to North Ferriby United a week on Saturday.

“The fans have got to get behind us in our home games now,” said Flitcroft. “You can’t get any tougher home games than Tamworth, Guiseley and Barrow.

“We’re full of confidence at the minute. We’re a team in good form. Tamworth and Guiseley will see us coming on their shoulders now.”

Back-to-back league wins have followed Chorley’s success in the final of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy, and Chorley have lost just one of their last 11 in all competitions.

“We’ve won a trophy and to get a play-off spot would achieve everything we’ve aimed for,” said Flitcroft, who will be sweating on the fitness of Adam Mather (calf) and Andy Teague (ankle).
