Well, I said this game could be a 'thin-ice' affair, and it proved so. A resolute Boro' stood their ground and matched Burnley for the same stubbornness.

Ings still looks out-of-sorts, Trippier needing more games, and Dyche being shown his tactical naivety by Karanka.

Four games left and five points needed, and suddenly the remaining games begin to look like rocks beneath the waves of stormy seas ready to break the hull of the Burnley ship. Derby, now having gained the scent for 2nd place, can overtake us if they win their remaining games and Burnley miss winning two of their remaining games.

Boro were superb! Burnley were no slouches either, but they could not break them down. I lost count of all the chances, the Burnley siege was relentless!

Huddersfield, the gormless pratts, went suicidal, and Derby just brushed them aside. It is going to be a close run thing, but I still think the Clarets will do it, but only just. UTC's!

Just prolonging your misery...

I had us down for defeat at Barnsley and a win today. Never mind. We're effectively 9 points clear with 4 games to go. Disappointed today but its not a bad position to be in. Derby cannot afford to drop another point, they still have to play Watford and Leeds away.

We battered Boro today but just couldn't put one away. That will change, we've got Blackpool next. We're on 83 points, I still think 85 will do it. That leaves Derby having to win all four of their remaining games.

Time for Blackburn to throw the towel in on this latest play-off push... to be 3-1 up against Sheffield Weds and NOT win is shocking.

I disagree with this. I think we need to hit 89 points, because I think Derby will tear through their remaining games and reach 87...but I hope I am wrong. The way Burnley besieged the Boro goal was frantic and haphazard, which is why they didn't score, it needed a lot more composure, but considering the circumstances, the energy they expelled is understandable.

I can only see Watford giving Derby any trouble, so if they lose that game then 84 points is the best they can do, and in that respect I can agree with your assessment. If Burnley don't win at Blackpool, the remaining fixtures become very hard games...it dose not bear thinking about!

You, obviously. Your worst nightmare is about to come true and apart from bellyaching and whingeing about Burnley's superiority, there's literally noting you can do about it.
