Reading boss Nigel Adkins could name an unchanged starting line-up for the eighth successive match at home to Blackburn after Kaspars Gorkss saw his four-game suspension overturned.

The Royals this week won their appeal against centre-back Gorkss' dismissal in last Sunday's impressive 3-1 victory at promotion rivals QPR.

That means Adkins is able to stick with the same XI which triumphed at Loftus Road, leaving the Berkshire club sixth in the Championship table.

Wayne Bridge and Sean Morrison (both knee) are closing in on their comebacks but Mikele Leigertwood (ankle), Jason Roberts (hip) and Jem Karacan (cruciate) remain a way off.

Corry Evans, meanwhile, could make his first Blackburn appearance since October when Gary Bowyer's men visit Reading.

The central midfielder has been troubled by ankle ligament problems but, after two appearances for Rovers' Under-21's recently, he could play a cameo role as Bowyer, who will serve a touchline ban for this game, looks to ease him back in.

Full-back Adam Henley is fully-fit again after an Achilles problem, striker Rudy Gestede has overcome a minor knock and Luke Varney and Craig Conway will hoping to make their full debuts.

Blackburn have not played a game in two weeks but they remain without midfield trio Josh King (hamstring), Dickson Etuhu (ankle) and Ben Marshall (ankle).
