ACCRINGTON Stanley are aiming to attract a season ticket holder from each of the other 91 Football League and Premier League clubs to Friday’s home game against Scunthorpe United.

The Reds have brought their fixture forward a day in a bid to boost the attendance, and are aiming to break the 2,000 barrier for the match.

Stanley have now announced that season ticket holders for any other Football League and Premier League club can buy tickets for Friday’s game for only £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and £1 for accompanied under 12s.

The club hope it will attract fans from around the country.

Stanley played in front of an increased crowd of 1,751 when they faced Dagenham and Redbridge in their last Friday night home match in October.

“I’ll be looking out for supporters of my old clubs and hoping to see some Blackburn, Southampton, Sheffield United and Stoke shirts in the crowd,” said Reds boss James Beattie.

Stanley chairman Peter Marsden added: “We hope that everyone loved the Fans’ Friday experience as much as we did and we couldn’t wait for another chance to offer the opportunity for season ticket holders at other clubs to make Stanley their second team.

“It would be superb to swell the Stanley ranks with some extra bodies for the night and break the 2,000 barrier.

“We’re a friendly bunch and will warmly welcome you through the gates whoever you normally support.”
