BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche is prepared to wait until after the transfer window shuts to make the right loan additions to his squad if necessary.

The January transfer window closes at 11pm tomorrow night and chief executive Lee Hoos has confirmed that the Clarets are still making attempts to strengthen with ‘one or two’ signings before the deadline.

Hoos did not rule out a permanent signing but Dyche is also looking at loan additions and the Burnley boss admits there is no panic if a temporary deal could not be secured by tomorrow night.

The loan window reopens seven days after the closure of the January transfer window.

“We know that our resources are what they are,” Dyche said on his hopes of adding to his squad, while working within the Clarets’ tight budget.

“We will continue to look into the loan window, which opens very quickly again.

“If we can affect it we will with something that makes sense to us.

"It hasn't changed all season, there are certain parameters and guidelines we have to work with, simple as that.

"We want to affect it when we can and when it's appropriate to do so.

“But it has to fit in with the model of the club.”

Burnley drew 0-0 at home to Brighton on Tuesday night - keeping them in third place in the Championship, although they slipped three points behind second-placed QPR.

But goalkeeper Tom Heaton emerged with great credit from the game after making vital saves to preserve the Clarets’ clean sheet.

Heaton has now kept 12 clean sheets since moving to Turf Moor last summer on a free transfer.

"We know he's a very good keeper, that's why we brought him here,” Dyche said.

"His awareness of some of the long stuff which Brighton tried to get in behind with, to sweep things up and tidy things up was excellent.

“He's got a good voice and he gets good distribution and when he's called upon he's made sure that he has to make saves.

“That's his job and we're pleased he did that.”
