BURNLEY chief executive Lee Hoos has not ruled out another permanent signing before Friday’s transfer deadline.
The Clarets moved quickly in the window to snap up Ashley Barnes on a three-and-a-half year deal from Brighton. He came off the bench as the his new side drew 0-0 with his former club in the Championship last night, a result that leaves the Clarets three points behind Saturday’s opponents QPR.
It is likely the search for additional signings will be in the loan market although, Hoos said: “Sean’s got a couple of irons in the fire so there might be one more if we can do it.
“Fingers crossed on that one, there may be two, who knows.
“The balance of it is now whoever we bring in he’s got to fit in with how our group works, and the way our group works right now is really good.”
Asked whether it would be a permanent signing or a loan move, Hoos added: “All of it depends on who the player is.
“The problem we have is convincing someone to come in and fight for their place.”
