BLACKBURN Rovers did as well as they could be expected to at a Manchester City side who I believe are the best in the country.

The FA Cup replay at the Etihad Stadium was always going to be a very tough ask.

You could ask any number of Premier League sides and they would tell you that City are just unbelievable at home.

I would put money on them winning the Premier League this season – at the very least.

Attacking-wise, there are no better.

Okay people may say they are a bit slow at the back but if you score one, they will score two, and if you score two, they will score three, and so on.

Blackburn gave everything they had – they worked so hard – but unfortunately they caught City on one of those days.

And, given the fact they’ve now scored 99 goals this season, one of those days is just a normal day at the office for City.

So despite losing 5-0, I’m sure Gary Bowyer will turn round to his players and say forget about it and take as much as you can from the experience.

Rovers have just got to get on with it, put it right out of their system, because they have a massive game at Nottingham Forest tomorrow.

It would make a huge difference to Rovers’ play-off chances if they could go to the City Ground and win.

But for me a good result would be not getting beat as I do think Forest will be one of the sides who will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

Rovers’ form is as good as anyone’s in the Championship and there is no reason why they shouldn’t be confident.
