Hill is far superior to be mentioned in the same vein as Kean. He has inherited a poor team, kept them afloat over the seasons at Barnsley, compound with some very impressive performances this season. Any manager at Barnsley is under huge financal pressures, and his recruitment has been pretty sound from what I am aware. They were very impressive against rovers this year, pressing high up the pitch with unbelievable stamina & good control of the ball. He has a very below par team there and is doing a hell of a job.. give him the resources our squad holds and he could do very well. Certainly should be on the shortlist, certainly over the inexperienced Sherwood or Shearer for me.

Don't think there is anybody calling for Sherwood mate. I think 98% of fans would reject a Sherwood appointment.

I would disagree, I don't think (as you mention) we have a target man so i would say playing down the wings would be a waste of time, i'd prefer a more central approach during attack since we have flair & Rhodes as our main selling points.

Sorry to have to return to this but Mr Black has been playing throug the middle for the last 3 games we have accumalated 2 points from 9 and Rhodes has not had a sniff he thrives on crosses so please review your thoughts as the evidence is there for all who can be bothered to go and watch it.

I agree... my preferred choice would be Holloway however an alternative would be Robinson. I want a hungry individual who will a) teach our team how to defend b) attack and create chances for Rhodes c) get rid of all the dead wood from our squad.

You say Keith Hill inherited a poor team but to be fair to Steve Kean, so did he.

What was he supposed to do?

Bang on the money there Bankok. What's happened is because that rhino skinned filth bag Kean has been gone for 3 weeks, it's given fans to much time discuss who and why should be next manager. If they'd got fingers from up their a55holes and appointed someone quicker, we wouldn't have had time to debate who we all want as manager and would've just been happy that Kean had gone and we could look to a brighter future. I realise it's a big decision but the reason it's taking so long is more than likely due to the absolute jokers that own Rovers. To be honest Sherwood wouldn't be my first choice but he's a million times better than Kean so will get my absolute support. I genuinely believe we have one of the best squads in that league and under any footballing coach or manager with any pedigree or experience we will bounce back, whether it's play offs or automatic........

I realise it's a big decision but the reason it's taking so long is more than likely due to the absolute jokers that own Rovers. To be honest Sherwood wouldn't be my first choice but he's a million times better than Kean so will get my absolute support. I genuinely believe we have one of the best squads in that league and under any footballing coach or manager with any pedigree or experience we will bounce back, whether it's play offs or automatic........

If they'd got fingers from up their a55holes and appointed someone quicker, we wouldn't have had time to debate who we all want as manager and would've just been happy that Kean had gone and we could look to a brighter future. Holloway is not the man. I cant understand why so many think he is. Took Blackpool up spent a whole season boring the pants off skysport viewers with his views on national affairs, weather crisis, threats to resign that he then backs down from, Blackpool relegated, he has a blind spot when it comes to defending and he has already criticised Venkys as owners. It would never work.

Hill is far superior to be mentioned in the same vein as Kean. They were very impressive against rovers this year, pressing high up the pitch with unbelievable stamina & good control of the ball. He has a very below par team there and is doing a hell of a job.. give him the resources our squad holds and he could do very well. Certainly should be on the shortlist, certainly over the inexperienced Sherwood or Shearer for me.

You say Keith Hill inherited a poor team but to be fair to Steve Kean, so did he.

What was he supposed to do?

And of course it didn't help with the fans getting on the players backs - but of course no-one could possibly suggest that it's your own fault you find yourselves in this mess.
