Noah on the verge of kart title
TALENTED karter Noah Chamberlain raced with his head as well as his heart to move within one more win of clinching the Hooton Park Indi-Kart Championship.
The six-year-old from Oswaldtwistle recorded his fourth straight victory on the Ellesmere Port track in testing conditions – and against some top class opposition.
The event sported a bumper grid, attracting drivers from all over the country, including members from the National Bambino Club championship.
But the St Andrew’s Primary School pupil, who hasn’t finished off the podium all season, took the chequered flag meaning he needs only one more race victory to secure the title with three rounds remaining. But it was his toughest test yet.
After qualifying for the final in pole position, rain arrived to change the dynamics completely.
But Noah remained composed and alert to the threat of his rivals to win by 14 seconds.
Dad Glen said: “It was great to see Noah drive with his head as well as his heart and particularly exciting to see him driving so intelligently at such a young age.”
