JOHN Coleman secured victory for Rochdale on his return to Accrington Stanley this afternoon.

Coleman was making his first return to the Crown Ground as boss since quitting for Rochdale in January and his side went ahead inside the first minute through George Donnelly.

Ashley Grimes then made it 2-0 in the 32nd minute, converting from the penalty spot after Toto Nsiala had fouled Dele Adebola.

But Piero Mingoia pulled a goal back five minutes later and Rommy Boco then levelled the match two minutes into the second half thanks to an error from Rochdale keeper Josh Lillis.

The visitors claimed the decisive fifth goal of the game with seven minutes remaining, however, as Jason Kennedy found the net.
