East Lancs Olympian Sophie launches flu jab campaign

TEAM GB Olympian Sophie Hitchon visited East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust to launch the Trust’s staff flu vaccination campaign.
Sophie, 21, from Burnley, launched the campaign alongside a number of Trust staff including occupational health nurses; Jean Crossland and Joanne Quinton and head of HR, David Smithson.
David Smithson said: “I’d really like to thank Sophie for coming along to spearhead the staff flu campaign. It’s really important this time of year for people to get their seasonal flu vaccination, not just to protect themselves but their family and the people we look after.
“I’d really encourage every member of staff to make time to get the flu vaccination, ensuring you keep yourself healthy throughout the coming winter months.”
