It Al ends well for the Storks

PADIHAM survived a first half scare including an almighty goalmouth scramble to come away with all three points.

It took two point blank saves from Sean Davies and three goalmouth clearances to deny Alsager a deserved lead in the 22nd minute.

So it was something against the run of play when David Sherlock fired the Storks ahead five minutes later – a lead they hung on to win.

n Padiham’s rearranged Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy clash with Colne takes place at the Arbories tomorrow (7.45pm ko).

A little miffed at the report stating Alsager were denied a 'deserved lead' .after a goalmouth scramble! Storks had more than matched the opposition up to that point. See detailed report Padiham FC page http://realaleupnort
