No top marks for Borough

BACUP were brought crashing back down to earth following last weekend’s ‘10 out of 10’ performance against Runcorn Linnets as they lost 1-0 at 10-man Norton.

Brent Peters was full of praise for his side in the 4-1 win over Runcorn but they started sloppy against Norton and didn’t really improve.

“Last week the entire team earned a 10 out of 10 but from the off the same lads were playing well below the standards they have set,” said Peters after Mark McDonald’s 30th strike separated the sides. “If I had to warrant marks out of 10, five would be the highest, just not good enough.”
