A late penalty gave Colne a well-deserved draw at high-flying Stockport Sports after an impressive performance.
Ashley Carter gave the Reds the lead after 38 minutes when he outjumped the home keeper at the near post to head home Mark Coyne’s cross. Colne should have built on their half time lead with a series of good chances but Coyne shot high over the bar from a great opportunity after 53 minutes. Goals from Kyle Hamid (69) and Liam Irwin (80) but Sports ahead but Colne bounced back and got their rewards when Paddy O’Brien fired home the spot kick to give the Reds a well earned share of the points.
