WE have been led to believe that Blackburn Rovers ’ owners are astute business people. Their successful poultry empire would seem to back to that up.
What on earth has happened to those basic business principles during their 22-month Ewood Park regime then?
Treat any business like they have treated Blackburn Rovers and failure would surely follow.
If you ignore your customers in any walk of life, those customers will quickly walk away. Venky’s are ignoring their customers at this football club and they in turn are voting with their feet.
This latest show of dithering sums up their entire reign. A simple, straight forward decision can’t seem to be made without weeks of procrastination.
In charge of any business has to be someone with the power to make decisions decisively and quickly.
Without that it is a ship without a rudder.
And that is exactly what we have had at Ewood for too long now. A ship, with many captains but no-one given the authority to take the action that is so obviously needed.
If the Rao family want to be the sole decision makers then that is up to them. But they then need to be in this country and making those deci-sions.
The appointment of Shebby Singh app-eared a step for-ward. We were led to believe he would be running the club and was trusted by the owners to make decisions.
Well, he has made a decision on the future of Steve Kean and yet the owners continue to dither about taking the long overdue decision of relieving him of his managerial duties.
If they aren’t prepared to listen to Singh, why put him in in the first place?
Maybe it would be a good idea for club matriarch Madame Desai (pictured) to actually make a visit to the football club and the surrounding community. Maybe then she would understand the hurt felt around Ewood at the moment.
We are told she wants the very best for the club, yet we never see her and never hear from her. You wonder sometimes whether she has any clue about the damage the ‘Kean’ issue is having on the club.
Just a few hours of listening to the ordinary Rovers fan would surely tell her all she needs to know.
That this club’s supporters are proud, passionate people who love Blackburn Rovers. They smile with the club and they cry with the club.
Maybe she needs to see these tears and see what impact Venky’s ownership has had on the people she is supposed to be working for.
The fans’ passion is actually the saving grace for Venky’s.
Most businesses would have been beyond saving by now.
Rovers fans’ love of their club will see them returning when they see the necessary changes made. Until then, the club will continue going downhill and fast.

Yes, much of the attacks have been over the top and out of order. But he has done himself no favours by seemingly applauding everything Venkys have done wrong.
The list of these wrongs is so long it's untrue. We can all allow for their lack of experience in running a football club, but many many times they have been offered good free advice and discounted it out of hand.
Now I don't personally know how they treat their employees or customers out there, but if it is anything like they have treated our support, it is 1) a miracle they still have a business and 2) no wonder their stock value is falling.
For me the removal of Kean is inevitable and overdue (he will though be a far far richer man for the experience, only his pride is dented).
However, my feelings toward Venkys is the same as it was when they dismantled our fine clubs structure, and even if we can attract a decent manager they need to massively change their attitude toward the support base and the guy/guys actually running the club.
I am none too sure how much behavioural change is needed for a total coming together is needed, but for many I suspect none will be enough.
I have total empathy with that.

Venkys arnt ignoring their customers, Venkys don't even own Ewood. A company like venkys who have a billion doller empire don't just igonre its customers, they just dont. Open youreyes people...!! In effect, if you are right the investigation will uncover it, it is inevitable.
He who must not be named's role for me has just given him many opportunities to pick up many large fees for players movements, maybe some influence upon how we (BRFC) do business. Who knows!!!
IF the said individual did actually own any controlling rights whatsoever they would/ should be fairly easy to trace. Don't forget we have a prominent MP on the case. That can open many doors that are closed to most others!
No, for me it is a personal contract that Venkys have with HWMNBN, this I believe is the cause for most of the stalling and indecision.

The only way forward for me is a complete change of ownership with a new proper management structure in place, including an experienced Championship manager, not an unproved rookie like Sherwood, as good as he was as a player.

Pride, what f#cking pride? If he had an ounce of pride he would have resigned or better still never taken the job in the first place.
I know deep down that Vekys are responsible for this mess but sacking Kean was, for me, their last chance to repair some of the damage. Get rid of the donut and we could possible look the other way with regards to their lack of thoughts and ideas. But no, still they carry on bumbling along with their inept approach to everthing regards Rovers.
Watch their next moves carefully. I predict Kean wont be removed from BRFC but moved somewhere internally and they will appoint a replacement that will cost them as little money as possible.
Moving Kean to another job is not the answer and neither is appointing any manager who hasnt got the experience to get us back to the PL.
This is their last chance to get it right but I'd bet money they will blow it, like everthing they have done before.

It is a totally personal thing, and he believes in himself totally, it matters not what we think, he will not alter his view of himself because we do not agree.
As I say he was in a good place to grab a position and he took it, the salary he is is on he could not have even dreamt of. Is he (or you) really gona walk away and throw away a fortune????
That does not mean I respect him or applaud him, just that I can at least see it from his side.
He has had a good innings, and it looks like it is over.
This man should not have been retained after 2010/2011. This is why I have not attended since the Apr/May 2011.

BRFC is only a small distant part of their empire, a plaything, an experiment. Even if they don 't know about football and have made some mistakes it makes no difference to the overall plan. They are getting worldwide publicity. NO PUBLICITY IS BAD PUBLICITY!
We don't know the ins and outs of the BRFC staff, advisers, managers etc but they have been sacked if they were independently-minded and hired if they would be Yes Men. Perhaps Kean or Shebby have thrown tantrums but it's publicity. And the seeming indecision and lack of positive action by Venky's? It allows the publicity to grow. LT are helping by continuing the myth that this is a proper business and that Venkys have the good of BRFC at heart. They are afraid to speak the truth because they might lose their contact with 'key' figures at the club. So they print articles like today's which only reinforce the view that Venkys are inexperienced, Kean is a pawn and that everything will come out right in the end, even with Venkys still in charge. (And no mention of Anderson. Oh no, NEVER MENTION ANDERSON!)
Venky's are finding out that no matter what they do, there are still a hard core of 10000+ fans who will continue to pay Venkys through thick and thin. They are not going to give that up so easily. They'll find a way to exploit that to the full.

If they cared, they would have made a statement.
Steve Kean will be sacked as manager but I feel will still remain in the Club on the board. There has got to be more to this man than just contracted as a manager for the Club. Kean has no integrity so will remain, probably on the same wage, still causing animosity with his presence.
In my opinion the only way forward for Venkys, is, if they are serious about the club then rid the Club once and for all of Kean, Kentaro, Anderson, Agnew and Shaw. Then the Club can at least start to breathe again. They are going to have to start all over again, but unless they act soon they will have nothing to start again with.

Also, stu, if they do run a successful business and aren't stupid, why would they allow themselves to be used as front men for your alleged Anderson/Kean axis?
Would being found out not put their successful business at risk? It just doesn't make sense.
And IF Kean is part owner as you suggest a) where did he suddenly get all the money from? b) if he has already got that much money, why on earth is he allowing himself to be put through all the hassle for so little gain? and c) if he hasn't actually got any money but is trying to make some from the club, surely he would have "sacked" himself by now.
As for Anderson, as much as I despise the man, why would he want to own Rovers?
He has a very nice little number going already with SEM and he too would stand to lose more than he could ever get from Rovers if he is involved in any illegal activity, as you are suggesting.
He did contribute massively to the shambles this club has become but the secret owner? Sorry, I just can't see it.

To chuck a devils advocate point of view in; Rovers are 3rd in the league (were top) DESPITE the negativity around the club. So does that mean that if we all drew a line under things, and gave Kean, the Venky's (who have after all pumped a lot of transfer cash in the club to season), and everyone else associated with the club our backing, we would walk this league......?
